Tannery work runs on contract labour, and the crews change. Each worker is checked in on a pass of their own, and a returning worker is recognised by mobile number, so the guard confirms rather than types.
When a lot goes to another unit for a process, a returnable pass carries a due date, and late lots raise an overdue alert every three days until the pass is closed or extended. On the Gate Control plan.
A Security Head or Company Admin blocks the person with a reason. The gate then refuses them at check-in on every screen, even on a visit someone else has booked, until an admin unblocks them.
Whoever runs the entry, guard or receptionist, photographs the visitor's ID, and VizPass reads the number and name into the form to be checked. The slowest part of a paper entry goes.

Yes, on Gate Control. On an incoming material pass the guard types the DC, PO or invoice number and the vehicle number, which stays searchable. Attaching the challan or invoice file works on outgoing passes. VizPass records what crossed the gate; it does not weigh loads or update stock.
Check-in needs a connection. A guard's phone on its own battery and mobile data is not stopped by a power cut at the unit, but if the network drops, the guard keeps a paper log and enters those visits once it is back. They carry the time they were typed, so the slip should note the real time.
Access is by role: six built-in roles plus custom roles. Sign-ins and every change to a visit are kept in a tamper-proof activity log, blocked people are refused at check-in, and records are held in Indian regions and deleted after the retention period you set, between 12 and 120 months.
Yes, for staff attendance. eSSL and ZKTeco biometric devices send punches to the VizPass Attendance module, which comes with the Attendance & Leave, Field Workforce and Enterprise plans, priced on request. The visitor plans do not include it. Every visitor record can also be downloaded as CSV.
One gate can go live on the day you start: set up the gate, invite your hosts and check in the first visitor. We suggest running it beside the paper register for a week, then adding your other gates. The demo and the go-live session both run on a video call.
No. VizPass is built and supported from Noida. Demos and go-live sessions run on a video call pointed at your own gate, with your guards on it, and on-site visits are arranged case by case, not same-day. Support is by phone, email and WhatsApp, Monday to Saturday, 9:30 to 18:30 IST.
Data is held in Indian regions; the hosting and residency page sets out where. VizPass keeps the record and can delete visits older than a retention period you set, which stays off until you switch it on. Meeting your duties under the DPDP Act stays with you as the data fiduciary.
