An inspector's questions are about the register: who is inside now, who authorised a contractor and when, why a visitor never signed out, and what left the gate on a given challan. VizPass keeps each entry with the visitor's photo, ID, host, approval time and exit scan, flags overstays on the day, records consent on gate-app and self-registration passes, and runs reports for any date range that export as CSV. A pass can carry an end time, and an expired pass is refused at entry rather than waved through. A contractor who has been blocked is refused at check-in until an admin unblocks them, and anyone still inside after their pass expires triggers an alert to the host and admins. VizPass does not run safety inductions, permit-to-work or PPE checks, and it does not hold contractor records — those stay with your safety and HR teams.

Yes, without mixing them up. The vehicle number is recorded on the driver's visit. Material goes out on its own pass, returnable (RGP) or non-returnable (NRGP), with item lines, quantity, value and a due date. Each return on an RGP gets its own RTN number, partial returns keep the pass open, and overdue items trigger repeating alerts. Out-passes can be routed for approval before anything leaves.

Entry and exit are logged live, so when an evacuation alert is raised you get the actual list of visitors and contractors inside at that moment, not this morning's register. Each person is marked safe during the roll call at the assembly point, and anyone left unmarked is the name to chase. The list shows only people who entered and have not been scanned out, which is why the exit scan matters.

Not to control who gets in. VizPass is software: it controls access at the gate by deciding who is issued a pass, after photo and ID capture and host approval, and by recording every entry and exit. It does not supply or drive turnstiles, boom barriers, RFID readers, biometric or face-recognition devices. Basic (₹4,999) covers WhatsApp approval, overstay alerts and roll call without material passes. The ₹1,499 Single Gate plan is a plain register for one gate.

Visitors who register on the gate app or through the self-registration link see your company's privacy notice and agree to it before their photo and ID are taken, and that agreement is recorded on the pass. That is a record of notice and consent, not compliance on its own: retention, access and how you answer requests remain your obligations under the DPDP Rules 2025, which MeitY publishes.
